Indiana County Master Gardeners - Who are they?
Would you like to become a Master Gardener? *Please note: these newsletters are PDF's, you will need Acrobat Reader to view.
Master Gardeners are volunteers trained by the Penn State Cooperative Extension. Once they complete their training, Master Gardeners help the Extension better serve the home gardening public by answering questions, speaking to groups, working with 4-H horticultural projects, participating in civic beautification, maintaining demonstration gardens, teaching plant sciences and horticulture. Master Gardeners are willing and able to educate individuals and groups in gardening topics such as plant selection, composting, soil improvement, pest control, vegetable and flower gardening, pruning, and more. If you would like a Master Gardener to address your group or assist with a community gardening project, please contact Indiana County Cooperative Extension at 724-465-3880. Here at the Master Gardener Web Site find out about gardening events, learn more about the Indiana County Master Gardener program, and discover several useful gardening links and resources. Residents of Indiana County Pennsylvania are encouraged to submit gardening questions to a Master Gardener via e-mail. Happy gardening!
